The System T V4.3 update introduces a significant range of new tools designed to make System T even more flexible across broadcast, entertainment, theatre and music production. With comprehensive OSC integration, SolidPitch vocal processing, enhanced Meterbridge workflows and operational enhancements, V4.3 gives operators greater control, more creative options and faster, more efficient workflows.

Comprehensive OSC Control and Event Manager Integration

Flexible third-party control for compact and distributed workflows

Comprehensive OSC integration enables compatible third-party hardware and software to remotely control System T parameters without requiring dedicated SSL hardware at every position. This makes compact and throw-down systems easier to deploy, giving each operator access to the controls required for a specific task.

For example, a remote operator at a venue may only need access to selected local faders and console monitoring. These functions can now be controlled from a compact external device, without requiring a complete System T interface.

OSC integration provides direct third-party control of faders, mutes, PFL, AFL, path labels and monitoring functions. Native support within Event Manager also allows OSC messages to be used as both event sources and destinations, alongside GPIO, Ember+ and MIDI.

Scenes can also be triggered directly by number, simplifying integration with broadcast automation and third-party theatre show-control systems. From compact remote positions to wider automated production workflows, OSC integration gives organisations greater freedom to deploy System T control wherever it is needed.

SolidPitch

Integrated vocal tuning and creative processing

SolidPitch is a new onboard vocal tuning and creative processing tool designed to deliver everything from subtle pitch correction to modern vocal effects, alongside powerful doubling and harmonisation functions. Built directly into the System T FX Rack, SolidPitch processes vocals within the System T environment, with no external processing or additional routing required.

Tuning: From transparent pitch correction to more noticeable modern vocal effects.
Doubler: Add thickness, depth and stereo width to any vocal.
Harmony: Create pitch-shifted harmonies, locked to a selected scale.

For broadcast entertainment, theatre, music production and other applications where vocals play an important role, SolidPitch provides a flexible creative tool that can be managed and recalled as part of the System T showfile.

Enhanced Meterbridge Workflows

Keep the most relevant information in view

System T V4.3 introduces new Meterbridge functionality designed to keep the most relevant metering and processing information in view as operators navigate S500 and S500m surfaces.

The new Follow Active Fader Bank option allows a Meterbridge slot to follow a specific fader position. As the operator moves through different banks on the selected Fader Tile, the Meterbridge automatically updates to display the paths currently active on the surface.

V4.3 also brings one of SSL’s most iconic processing tools directly into the Meterbridge. The SSL Bus Compressor effect meter can now be displayed alongside existing metering and measurement tools, providing immediate visual feedback from the main metering view.

Together, these additions create a more dynamic and responsive Meterbridge workflow for S500 and S500m operators.

Updates for Theatre and Advanced Productions

Greater control over large and complex shows

Productions with large numbers of channels, mixes, scenes and routing changes require workflows that are flexible and easy to manage. System T V4.3 introduces several major updates designed to simplify setup and operation:

Permanent Path Link Groups: Maintain linked control across multiple paths while choosing which parameters remain independent. Create, name and colour-code up to 48 groups, all stored as part of the showfile.
Independent Track Bus send levels: Create up to 160 uniquely addressable send mixes, providing greater flexibility for performer, backstage, recording, broadcast and other production-specific feeds.
Up to 500 scenes: Manage productions with extensive automation and large numbers of cues within a single showfile.
Faster routing workflows: Reduce the number of steps required for common routing tasks with range selection from routing pop-ups, automatic navigation to existing routes and one-to-many routing.
