LAS VEGAS – Solid State Logic, the world’s leading provider of advanced technology for creative audio professionals is proud to announce the release of new products and developments for its Network I/O range at NAB 2017 (Booth: Central Hall C2627).
SSL’s Network I/O is a range of full broadcast specification interfaces that use Dante technology and AES67 transport to connect to AoIP network systems. The range includes mic/line, MADI, AES, and SDI interfaces. The addition of the new Network I/O SB 32.24 Stagebox brings a ruggedized, high capacity Dante Stagebox to the range. New software releases for SSL System T broadcast consoles and SSL Live consoles introduce shared control over all SSL Network I/O Stageboxes with full gain compensation to facilitate elegant integration of broadcast and live console technology within a single installation. SSL also recently announced the new BLII-Dante HC Bridge, a 1U unit that provides a bi-directional bridge between SSL’s Blacklight II high bandwidth optical format and a single Dante HC connection, delivering 256 channels of ultra-low latency 96kHz audio in and out of a Dante network for SSL Live consoles. SSL’s System T broadcast consoles offer up to 3072 input and output connections to a Dante network via up to six Dante HC cards per Tempest engine delivering 512 channels of I/O per card at 48kHz.
Network I/O Stageboxes make SSL’s renowned SuperAnalogue preamp design with its superior audio performance available for a wide range of Dante network applications. Designed for use on any Broadcast studio floor, venue, or recording room, SSL Network I/O Stageboxes allow easy deployment of Mic Pres and Speaker feeds where needed. Network I/O’s plug and play features allow devices to easily be moved, even between locations and retain routing and settings if required. All units can be remote controlled via System T broadcast consoles and control interfaces, SSL Live consoles, and the SSL Remote Stagebox Application. There are three different models available; SB 8.8 (8 in/8 out), SB i16 (16 in) and the new SB 32.24.
The Network I/O SB 32.24 is a 5U ruggedised enclosure featuring dual redundant power supplies, 32 mic/line inputs, 16 analogue line outputs and 8 digital inputs and outputs on 4 AES3 input/output pairs. It has a pair of redundant RJ45 Dante network connections in addition to a user configurable SFP port that can be fitted with RJ45 or optical connectors. The SB 32.24 has on-board gain-compensated Dante “split” capability. All network connections can be used for network extension or for connection to a second independent Dante network. It has individual signal present, clip and phantom power LED’s as well as global indication of PSU, Network A and B and Hardware status. SB32.24 can operate at 96kHz or 48kHz sample rates.
