Las Vegas, March 19, 2026 – At this year's NAB Show, Solid State Logic (booth C6907) will preview SSL Live V6.2, a major new software update for its industry-leading touring and installed sound platform. Headlining the release is SolidPitch, a new onboard vocal tuning effect, and KLANG integration for personalised immersive in-ear mixing, alongside a range of workflow and control enhancements designed to help engineers deliver greater creative flexibility, faster operation and more precise control for complex shows and installations.
SolidPitch is a new onboard vocal tuning effect designed for everything from gentle pitch correction to over-the-top, modern, pop vocal effects, but it also contains powerful processing capabilities for doubling and harmonisation alongside tuning, making it a highly versatile and creative effect for live production.
SSL Live V6.2 also adds a series of workflow, monitoring and automation enhancements aimed at streamlining operation in demanding live environments.
Automation Preview mode allows operators to temporarily isolate the console’s DSP from any changes made on the surface, leaving audio passing unaffected while scenes can be fired, viewed, and adjusted.
The consoles internal Effects Rack can now be displayed on a connected external screen, giving engineers improved visibility and control for key effects such as SolidPitch or a compressor on a lead vocalist, for instance. Metering effects, such as the SPL meter or Spectralyser, could be displayed for constant monitoring of signal information.
Yet another addition are Link Groups, which allow paths of the same type to be permanently grouped and linked. This is ideal for ganging two mono paths together to create an ad-hoc stereo channel or linking the EQs of a group of microphones.
Automation capacity has also been expanded, increasing the maximum number of scenes from 200 to 500. SSL Live’s automation can be controlled via the dedicated hardware interface in the Master Tile or through a software interface accessible from the main touchscreen or the Channel Control Tile screen. Scene groups allow all selected scenes to be edited in a single operation, while scenes can be triggered manually or from external triggers.
Event Manager offers several event destination additions such as Default Solo Feed Points, Rehearse Mode toggles, Automation Group Mode toggle, Auto Mute Safe & Temporary Auto Mute Safe. Together, these additions make workflow setup for the most demanding live events more flexible and intuitive for the engineer, enhancing the Event Managers macro and trigger functionality.
SSL Live V6.2 will be available soon as a free download for the entire console range. For more information on the SSL Live range, please visit the Solid State Logic Touring & Events solutions page.
